WHY PEOPLE GOING THROUGH DEPRESSION AND SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, ANXIETY PANIC ATTACKS DON’T TALK ABOUT IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR WITH ANYONE.

      Conversation with Natasha

Just because they’re not posting nor telling you about it doesn’t mean they’re in a good state of mind - Natasha Siligana

Depression is living in a body that fights to survive with a mind that tries to die.

90% of people especially here is South Africa they don’t take things like mental health issues that serious, they only take you serious when you are not with them anymore that’s when it triggers them that you were truly going through something and if they took you serious maybe you would still be with them. It’s highly time we educate our youth even our teenagers about depression, anxiety and suicidal disorders/thoughts, let’s talk about it without making fun nor mocking them about their state of mind.

Seriousness of Depression

Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed.

It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at any place. Depression Is Different From Sadness or Grief. The death of a loved one, loss of a job or the ending of a relationship are difficult experiences for a person to endure. It is normal for feelings of sadness or grief to develop in response to such situations though the grieving process is natural and unique to each individual and shares some of the same features of depression.

Both grief and depression may involve intense sadness and withdrawal from usual activities.

Depression is morer of a “silent killer” in other words.

Suicidal thoughts & Depression

Suicidal depression (suicidal depression) differs from Depression on it’s own, unfortunately suicidal thoughts (depression) isn’t a clinical diagnosis. Suicidal depression or disorder is caused by Depression. I’ve seen people trying to get closure posting about what they going through and people labelling it as “attention seeker” It’s sad how people take the most serious thing’s as a joke and the silly one’s serious.

It’s hard telling and  posting about what you are going through, people barely take mental awareness serious and it’s soo sad and sickening knowing very well that maybe if you took that person serious you could’ve saved a life.

Although people are starting to find courage to post about anxiety panic attacks and to talk about it while others are still struggling to let loose. Some people are scared of how society will take them because that’s not the life they portray on social media, people making fun of them, people judging them cause of what they going through.

Let's talk about men as well, we live in a world where if a man shows vulnerability they are labelled weak. This is one of the why man don't come out. It is about time we let go of that mentality and let these men know that it's okay to be vulnerable. Let's give them ears , words of comfort and motivation.

Why is it soo hard to open up about depression?

Parents? Especially black parents, It's about time they learn  about depression. Most black parents if you tell them that you suffering from depression they think you just acting up. Some went as far as saying "Stop being a spoilt brat those things only happens to white people" That's why most teenagers just commit suicide instead of finding help. Yes parents can also  drive one to suicide that's why we need to educate people about mental health issues. We need to tackle the mind, because it is a powerhouse.

A smile on pictures doesn’t always mean a person is happy and maybe that’s where we all mess up.

We’ve seen a lot of people happy, having fun on videos not knowing they’re the saddest of all of them. Just like money, it wont bring you happiness if you ain’t fully happy on your own. It’s always the happy one’s we see happy who commit suicide or battling depression and fighting anxiety attack’s.

It’s not always the tears that measure the pain sometimes it’s the smiles we fake

Letting out how you feel, posting about what’s bothering you nor what going on with your mentality is nothing to be embarrassed of.

Check up on your loved one’s ❤️
